POLLUTION!!!

POLLUTION!!!

ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA

Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances/energies or naturally occurring contaminants.

Major forms of pollution include:

Air pollution, light pollution, littering, noise pollution, plastic pollution, soil contamination, radioactive contamination, thermal pollution, visual pollution, water pollution.

On these article our focus would be on air pollution.

Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Car emissions, chemicals from factories, dust, pollen and mold spores may be suspended as particles. Ozone, a gas, is a major part of air pollution in cities. When ozone forms air pollution, it's also called smog.

in this part of the world air pollution has been the common pollution, the air is been polluted daily according to statistic,

Nigeria Ranks 4th Deadliest Globally,Nigeria has the highest maternal mortality in the world. It's the country with highest number of extremely poor people in the world and now, it has the highest burden of fatalities from air pollution in Africa and 4th globally.

Nigeria: Air Pollution - Nigeria Ranks 4th Deadliest Globally

we all know the cause of air pollution in nigeria, the question should be how to fight the problem and step forward to eliminate it threat in our society.

Effects of Air Pollution

Respiratory and heart problems:The effect of air pollution is alarming. They are known to create several respiratory and heart conditions along with cancer, among other threats to the body.

Acid Rain:Harmful gases like nitrogen oxides and sulphur oxides are released into the atmosphere during the burning of fossil fuels. When it rains, the water droplets combine with these air pollutants, becomes acidic and falls in form of acid rain.

Effect on Wildlife:Just like humans, animals also face some devastating effects of air pollution. Toxic chemicals present in the air can force wildlife species to move to new place and change their habitat.

In conclusion, most people agree that to curb global warming, a variety of measures need to be taken. On a larger scale, governments are taking measures to limit emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. One way is to put taxes on carbon emissions or higher taxes on gasoline. This will enable people and companies have greater incentives to conserve energy and pollute less.

The most immediate method of improving air quality would be the use of biodiesel, solar energy, and hybrid vehicle technologies
